Home / About Us
Amica Capital is a specialist property finance lender providing bridging and development loans to developers, investors and property professionals across the United Kingdom. We were founded on a simple conviction: that borrowers in the property sector deserve a lender that is knowledgeable, decisive and genuinely invested in their success.
The name Amica is drawn from the Latin word for friend. It reflects the ethos at the heart of our business — that the relationship between a lender and a borrower should be one of trust, transparency and mutual benefit, not transactional indifference.
Amica Capital was established by a team with deep roots in both the property and financial services sectors. Between us, we have advised on, structured and completed transactions across residential development, commercial investment, portfolio finance and corporate lending. We have seen the market from multiple vantage points — as advisers, as investors and as operators — and that breadth of perspective shapes the way we lend.
We take an entrepreneurial approach to lending. Where others see complexity, we look for solutions. Where others move slowly, we move with purpose. We assess each loan individually, understanding the borrower’s objectives, the asset’s potential and the credibility of the exit strategy before structuring a facility that genuinely works.
We are transparent in our pricing, honest in our communication and consistent in our conduct. Borrowers and brokers know exactly where they stand with us at every stage of the transaction.
Our team brings together experience across property development, structured finance, real estate investment and deal execution. That expertise allows us to understand opportunities with nuance and provide funding solutions that are genuinely fit for purpose.
Our team has direct experience across property development, accountancy, and real estate finance. We can assess complex opportunities and provide solutions where other lenders may hesitate. We speak the language of property because we have worked in it.
We think of ourselves as a funding partner, not simply a capital provider. We want to understand our borrowers’ longer-term ambitions and to support them across multiple transactions as a trusted and consistent source of finance.
